In September 2017, Rotary Club of Dombivli Suncity played its part in making people aware of Thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder that causes your body to have less hemoglobin than normal - which can be treated if a matching bone marrow donor is found. A mime street act followed by a bike rally urging citizens to get registered in the DATRI registry was organised by a project  team and President Vinesh Nair. The Chief Guest, honorary member and Member of Parliament Dr. Shrikant Shinde, an orthopaedist himself supported the program and helped reaching a larger audience.
