Many families today are bearing the brunt of the lockdown. Some have been let go from jobs, other have been on unpaid leave from work. For many families with little savings this spelled a very difficult period ahead with some not even able to acquire their daily groceries.
We, Rotary Club of Dombivli Suncity, stepped in. Rtn. Ajayy Jain with the help of Panidevi Ramratan Jain Trust ensured sponsorship for the groceries. Rtn. Vijay Vojhala located genuine families in need of help and ensured that the help went to the right people. Rtn. Manav Patel along with Aakash Dangle, Manan Vora, Deepak Baisane and Prakash Dalvi acquired, re-organised and delivered the groceries to each family.
Annapurna Grocery Hamper
Rice 5 kg; Atta 2 kg; Poha 500g; Rava 500g; Tea 250g; Sugar 1kg; Salt 1packet, Vegetable Oil 1Ltr.; Masoor Dal 2kg; Chawli 500gm.
A hamper containing the basic grocery requirements of a small family for several days was delivered to 19 such families in need. Each hamper cost Rs.950/- . The project cost of Rs.18050/- was covered by a sponsorship by Panidevi Ramratan Jain Trust.
We appeal to our members and other readers to bring to our notice any such genuine families or individuals who, in this situation, have lost their regular livelihood and need our help.
